Les Menuires is part of the 3 vallyes ski system – the largest in the world. If you are an intermediate or above you will certainly want to buy a pass that covers the whole 3 valleys. If you are less experienced then there is plenty to do close to Les Menuires.
For beginners there are two areas very close to Les Menuires center with “magic carpet” lifts to get you started. After that there are a number of easy green runs. For intermedites there are some lovely blues and reds as well as a snowcross area and a snowpark . There is a complete range of iteneries; beginner, family, discovery, sunnyside, advanced on thesevabel website. In total there are 7 black, 30 red, 29 blue, 6 green and 28 cross country routes, covering more than 140km.
For the more advance skiier or snowboarder there are some superb off piste runs. The general topology of Les Menuires is a large flank, so there are many possibilites. On the la Masse side there is one of the classic descents in the 3 valleys down to lac du Lou. The ski school offers a full guided off piste day at a very reasonable price. Its a truly world class ski area.
